UK Fire Training is set for further growth after securing a new base in Redditch, Worcestershire.
The nationwide fire safety company has taken 1,435 sq ft of space in Headless Cross as the headquarters for its central team, from where it organises its 35 trainers based around the country.
All their trainers are retired or serving firefighters, who run around 150 training sessions a month on fire risk assessment and handle flammable waste such as lithium batteries, the proper use of fire extinguishers and training fire marshals or managers.
Their clients range from companies large and small to local authorities, schools and care homes.
Managing director Jon Hughes said: “Our previous offices are right across the road from our new site. Redditch has proven an excellent base for us since the move - we are rarely more than a couple of hours from most of our clients, particularly those in London where we do a lot of work.”
Ian Parker, the joint managing director at John Truslove, worked with Hughes and the property’s landlord to enable UK Fire Training to secure a five-year lease.
Parker added: "It is always satisfying to help a company find the premises it needs for the next stage in its development. Because of our unrivalled portfolio of properties and landlords across the area we are in the best position to assist any growing business.
"Jon and the team at UK Fire Training knew what they were looking for, and it was right across the road."
