Online Tool for Home Fire Safety Checks

By
1 Minute Read

A new easy-to-follow home fire safety check tool has been made available by Safelincs, Fire Kills and the National Fire Chiefs Council (NFCC).

The online tool allows users to go through their home one room at a time and answer simple questions that will help identify fire risks around the home.

There will also be tips and advice on the steps people can take to reduce those identified risks. The outcome of the user journey is a personalised fire safety action plan to help keep people and their households safe from fire.

There are around 35,000 house fires and over 300 fire related deaths in the UK each year. The creators of the tool, which takes around 15 minutes to complete, are aiming to reduce the risk of home fires.
